Eager is a very stylish, eye - catching hunting dog.
He was ready for training at a very early age, he was quite a serious puppy, and Zsolt began to train him at the age of 6 months already.
By the time he has become 1 year old, his breeders (Bollen family), and also Mr. Tom Smith, the breeder of his father (FTCH Craighorn Bracken) and some other very experienced handlers confirmed what we also thought – that he has excellent qualities to be trained for field trials.
We were very keen but also a bit green and probably he would have needed more firm hands and a bit different training from the beginning to be successful on trials – this is how we see it now.
He had some success on field trials and working tests as well.
Because of his unbelievable style and as he is ever such a strong hunting dog, he is a challenge to handle, but a joy to watch when busy with his job. He never gets tired of working, may it be dummies or game – it does not make a big difference to him.
He is a very good looking dog with good bones too.
He is a very hard going dog with a lof of confidence and drive, he has a very nice temperament with people and other dogs as well, an easy companion who is happy with everything.
He is the first working line dog of Zsolt and we believe he has learnt a lot from him during the last few years of training and trialing and we wish to have a similar dog like him to be trained in our kennels.
Eager’s mother is FTCH Stacreek Zuckey, bred and handled by Stefaan Bollen.
A black bitch with tremendous speed and style. She is by FTCH Kelland Holly (sister to FTCH Kelland Ross) and Int. FTCH Saxthorpe Buzzard of Brindlebay (Herbie).
He has the same mother line as our Gin (Starcreek Ginger), who mother is also FTCH Starcreek Zuckey, and in fact our Eddie and Fly also have the same lines behind their lines with Herbie as grandfather.
Eager’s father is FTCH Craighorn Bracken, winner of the IGL Retriever Championshiop 2001, bred and handled my Mr. Tom Smith (Scotland).
A wonderful dog whose offsprings turned out to be very successful on field trials too. We have him in our Fly’s pedigree too which we are very happy about as he has a very nice line behind.
